The Huntingdon Hotel & Suites proudly takes its name from the lovely and ancient town of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England, which is the birthplace of the Lord Protector of England, Oliver Cromwell, and is famous for historic coaching houses of olden times.

For the comfort and security of honest travelers, the ancient coaching houses were located at high crossroads and beside the carriageways of England. Here horses could be changed or rested, and weary guests would find a blazing fire, a soft bed, good food, and good company.

Besides the manor residence of the Earls of Huntingdon, some of the famous coaching houses of Huntingdon are the Falcon Inn, Malden House, and Mycombe House, all of the 17th and 18th century. The ancient town itself dated from before the Doomsday Book of William the conqueror, compiled in 1086.

The Huntingdon Hotel & Suites pledges itself to preserve the honorable tradition of comfort and security in the gracious and hospitable city of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
