Last summer, my husband and I spent a long weekend at your charming inn. We were enamored with every aspect of our stay, not the least of which was your divine breakfast. I haven't been able to get my husband to stop talking about your breakfast scones ... and ever since, nothing compares. I have tried new recipes, searched our local bakeries (here in Portland, OR), and still end up far short of the delectable treats made in your kitchen.

My husband's birthday is on Feb. 1. And since he's become quite obsessed with your scones (not exaggerating), I wondered if you might consider sharing the recipe with me. I assure you I will not pass it or publish, but that it will only be used to treat my husband on his special day.
